Detailed Description

 Rimadyl(R) is...

  • a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs, and control of postoperative pain associated with soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
  • a choice backed by confidence. It was the first FDA-approved NSAID for dogs and has been used more than all other canine NSAIDs combined!
  • the top NSAID used during canine orthopedic surgeries and for continuous pain relief after surgery.

Osteoarthritis (OA) can hurt your dog in more ways than one. RIMADYL can help.

The pain of osteoarthritis, or OA, may affect not only how dogs function but how they feel and act too. Osteoarthritis, or OA, is a progressive condition that occurs when the cartilage protecting the bones gradually deteriorates, or breaks down over time.

RIMADYL is the most trusted OA pain medicine that helps get dogs back to their playful, lovable selves.

OA treatment requires a comprehensive approach.

If properly treated, the progression of OA can be slowed. The goals of OA treatment are to decrease pain and inflammation, resulting in:

  • Increased activity
  • Preserved muscle mass and strength
  • Regained function
  • Improved emotional well-being

Medical treatment of arthritis should include weight control, exercise, and NSAIDs for an improved quality of life.

What does RIMADYL do?

RIMADYL (pronounced “Rim-a-dill”) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) approved for once- or twice-daily dosing to relieve the pain and inflammation in the joints of dogs with OA.

RIMADYL works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in your dog's body. It comes in easy-to-use caplets. After just 2 weeks of taking RIMADYL at label dose, dogs had visible improvements in energy, happiness, activity level, comfort, and calmness.
